Join VSAN
VSAN is for people who care about aging well in Vernon and the North Okanagan.
You may be a senior, caregiver, family member, service provider, organization, volunteer, or community partner. If you want seniors’ voices to be heard and local concerns to be taken seriously, you are welcome here.
Joining VSAN is free. It doesn’t mean taking on a big role. It means staying connected, being invited into the conversation, and having a place to share what you are seeing.
A Simple Way to Stay Connected
VSAN brings seniors and the groups that support them together.
People join for different reasons. Some want to be heard. Some work with seniors and want to understand what others are noticing. Some care about making the community easier, safer, and more welcoming for older adults.
You can listen, share your experience, or take a more active role when the right issue comes up. You do not have to do everything. Being part of the conversation matters.
What Membership Means
VSAN membership is simple and low-pressure. Membership is free. There is no large time commitment, and you do not have to attend every meeting.
As a member, you can:
Attend Membership Table meetings about 3 to 4 times per year
Receive updates by email between meetings
Share concerns, ideas, or local knowledge
Hear what seniors, caregivers, organizations, and partners are noticing
Take part in Action Teams if a specific issue fits your interests or experience
Request to Join VSAN
Please complete this form to submit your request to join the Vernon Seniors Action Network Membership Table. You will receive access to the Members-Only section once your request has been verified.
We value your privacy. Your information will only be used for VSAN communication and will never be shared with outside parties.
Why People Join
Seniors, Caregivers, and Community Members
Your experience matters.
You may notice things that others miss. You may know where it is hard to find help, where communication breaks down, or where small changes could make daily life easier.
VSAN gives you a place to share that experience with a larger group. You don’t have to speak alone, and you don’t have to have all the answers.
Organizations and Service Providers
Organizations join VSAN to listen, share updates, and collaborate with others.
Membership can help you understand local concerns, build stronger connections, reduce overlap, and find practical ways to respond when gaps appear.
Seniors' Voices
“People listened to the details that matter day to day.”
What Happens at Membership Table Meetings?
Membership Table meetings are where VSAN members come together. Meetings are meant to be collaborative. At these meetings, people may:
Share updates from their organization or community
Talk about issues affecting seniors
Identify gaps or emerging needs
Share what seniors and caregivers are saying
Discuss whether an issue needs more focused action
From Conversation to Action
Sometimes a concern raised at a Membership Table meeting needs more attention. When that happens, VSAN may form an Action Team.
Action Teams are time-limited and focused on a specific issue. They are not permanent committees. They form when people are ready to work together on something practical.
